Pipeline Surf Point

hello everyone…
i have a plan to buy an audio system. but i don know nothin about this.. i need a powerfull system. there are two options to me. one is (SONY STR-DA5400ES) and other is (ONKYO HT-S9100THX) .
does anyone knows which one is powerfull???? i only know to look at the RMS of these things. nothing more!!!!!!! when i surfed at denon’s site it shows only ohms (like 50ohms) i don understand that!!! so please suggest me one… or anyother models.. i need a 1000RMS or more…

I have windows vista, My sound worked perfect until today (working for past 2 years) suddenly out of no where (no new programs I installed, I didnt even really do anything aside from web surf and I didnt download anything) and suddenly my sound stopped working. I click on the speaker and it says “No audio device is installed” so I restarted, went into bios, changed everything to optimized defaults, went to ms config, restored everything to defualts, did a virus scan with AVG professional and came up clean. so anyways now when I start the computer up the sound works for like 5 mins, then it goes back to the same “no audio device installed) so the sound does work for a few mins, then it goes off so I have no idea what could be causing this. Help would be appreciated. oh by the way when I go to my divice manager NO drivers at all show up! which is impossible becuase then nothing would work, like a human with no organs!. so this makes no sense at all >.< zZz

I occasionally like to surf the web or play games on the internet and I like to listen to music from WMP at the same time. Sometimes I come across a game that won’t let you turn off the annoying music or I’ll find a website with that god-awful high pitch “Congratulations! You’ve been selected to win a free ipod nano!”
Is there anyway to turn off audio on the internet without turning off audio for the whole computer?
I have both Mozilla and Explorer- If there is no way to turn off audio with these browsers (like I suspect) is there any other free browser that I can download that’ll let me turn off internet audio?

I would like to hear about programming concepts while surfing the internet. I have heard of www.dotnetrocks.com but that doesn’t really go into much coding concepts.

Back in the end of January I got a pop-up that wouldn’t go away and would disrupt web searches. It asked me to install the Lame mp3 encoder; but since I didn’t want to do that I just tried to make it go away by hitting the “x”, but since it wouldn’t go away I used a program to un-install anything to do with this Lame mp3 encoder and it got rid of the pop-up and freed me to surf the web again; but alas without any internet audio. I have tried most everything, but can’t get the audio back. I have a 6 year old HP 4400 series laptop with Windows XP. Any ideas, solutions, etc????
