I’m going with three friends for a week and were staying in the Elements surf hotel in Bude, we have a car and we’d just like to know what sort of things there are to do around there anything from beaches, clubs, zoos, parks etc ANYTHING
Thanks.

I really want to learn how to surf, but everyone knows Fort Myers Beach has some of the most pitiful surf on the Gulf Coast.
I even have a surf board! I’ve been waiting for a hurricane, but they never seem to come anymore.
Anyway, if anyone knows of the closest place to go for a place to learn how to surf please tell me.

I see tv commercials where the guy is in the park with his laptop and he’s getting business info or just surfing the internet. There is another one with the guy on the beach with his laptop. I want to take my laptop out and about with me too. I live in a rural area. If I buy one of those plug in things will I be able to take my laptop out like on tv? And I don’t want to have to drive around town with one of those Wi-Fi finders like hunting uranium with Geiger counter.
This question reminds me of a story I have to tell: This guy was driving behind a truck loaded with pigs when one of the pigs fell out. So the guy stopped, picked the pig up and speeped off to catch the truck. Well a cop pulled up behind the guy and pulled him over. The guy told the cop the story about the pig. The cop told him to take the pig to the zoo. The next day the cop sees the same guy and he’s got the pig in the car. The cop pulled him over and said, “Didn’t I tell you to take that pig to the zoo?” The man said, “I did and we had so much fun today I’m taking him to the beach.”

Me and my friend are trying to learn surfing while we work in Silicon Valley for a year.
We were advised to start at Cowells in Santa Cruz, which a really good place catchable waves, we even took a lesson there. The only problem is there are waves of reasonable height very rarely there, even for beginners.
We tried Lindamar in Pacifica which is said to be a beginners place as well and there are more waves, but here the waves break in a manner that we can’t really catch it or they’re just to big for us.
Can anyone recommend another place we should try? Is it a good season at Cowells now or is it going to be better?
