How Do You Persuade Your Mom To Let You Wear A Tampon?

So I have this school field trip to Big Surf coming up (big surf the water park) and its on the week that i get my period! One time when I asked my mom to let me use a tampon she flat out said no. This time is different… cuz we’re going swimming! I can’t wear a pad when i swim! theres only one other choice… tampon. and she won’t let me. when i told her that the field trip was scheduled on the day i get my period, she was like “oh, i guess ur not going then.” as if there was absolutely no way to solve the problem! and im also planning on joining the school swim team next year, and i can’t just take a week off of vaccation every month JUST cuz my mom won’t let me wear a tampon. HELP!!!

    your mom’s being ridiculous.
    it’s not as if you can get off on a tampon, and she knows that.
    just be straight forward with her, they are so much easier and they last longer.
    just tell her that all girls wear them(cause they do) and there’s nothing abnormal about it so you don’t see why she’s being stupid.

    How old are you? That seems really unreasonable. Unless your mom is doing body cavity searches, will she really know if you are wearing a tampon?
    Just read the instructions, and don’t leave them in for longer than a couple of hours. Change often so you don’t get an infection.

    Your mom is insane.
    Just go buy them yourself, or ask a friend for some.
    If you buy them yourself, just get the regular ones.
    Make sure you change it like every 4-6 hours so you dont get an infection.

    thats terrible your mom doesnt let you. If you mom flat out says no, then i would ask one of your friends to give you like 5 tampons(in case you mess up sticking it up there the first time).

    Go buy them on your own they are about 10 dollars just ask your mom for money to get food with your friends and use it on tampons thats what I did b4 my mom got used to the idea.
