School Project: What Does Your Choice Of Clothing Say About You As A Person?

I hought of this while vacationing in Hawaii and particularly looking at people who wore clothing from brands most closely associated with the surf/skate/snowboard culture (Quiksilver,Billabong, Burton, DC, Audio, etc…) . However, the same question could be applied to any group.
Heres how it works:
Based soely on your primary choice of casual clothing, define your self into one of the typical highschool stereotype (Nerd, Jock, Prep, Hip-hop, Gangster,
Surfer/skater, Goth, Emo, Punk, etc…)
Now explain to what degree you fit your selected stereotype, beyond your outward appearance.
For example: If you wear DC shoes, and clothes from Quiksilver, Element, and Burton along with a pear of baggy jeans, you fall into the surfer/skater category regardless, however does your lifestyle also fit this? Do you skate? surf? snowboard? do you generally fit in with other skaters?
This is for a psychology class I am taking next year. It sucks but the teacher gave us summer work

im 21. based on outward appearence im goth, like old school goth, not this new goth that seems to be creeping up all over the place in the kids who wear black and listen to my chemical romance. im goth. i wear the clothes, i listen to the REAL goth music, im not any more depressed than your average person, or any other sterotype youve heard about goth people. yeah, there are goths that do that but they are giving real goths a bad name.

I’m 23 yrs old and goth. Black and red are my favorite colors so my clothes tend to be black and red though I mix gray and earth tones. I wear a minimal of whites because I don’t look good on them and I’m afraid of getting stains on them.
I’m working in a corporate setting so I’m more on suits and slacks. Although, I have to conform to the corporate culture, I tend to slip in a hint of my personality (e.g. velvet/lace top under my black jacket. lace skirt and boots along with my gray short jacket, etc.) In terms of make-up, I have to tone it down though. No black lipstick. I toned down on accessories too but my favorite gothic cross pendant is always on me.
Hope this helps.

it doesn’t say anything about me.
I wear for confort and convenients sake. I don’t wear a brand because it has a brand. Why live your life according to others, when you should be able to form your own path and go the direction you want to.

Interesting question….
I am a 39 year old Mom with a very laid back sense of style. I go for what looks good on me and I prefer earthtones. Brands have little meaning to me other than I like the feel of quality material.
Peace.
